Darrell: Returning home from the hospital
Darrell, 75, was hospitalized after a stroke. He recovered quickly and was sent home after a week. “My wife and I met with the hospital’s discharge planner. This helped me feel better prepared to go home.”
“The discharge planner gave me an idea of what I would be able to do. Marion, my wife, could plan what kind of help I would need. She asked our son to move some furniture around before I came home, because I’d be in a wheelchair for a few weeks.”
