HMO Services in Other Languages

It is important to be aware of the services HMOs offer in other languages if you or a member of your family use American Sign Language or do not speak English. Using these services may help you communicate better with your doctor and your HMO. Services may differ based on your type of coverage. To get started, select the type of health care coverage that applies to you and your family.

Commercial

Commercial insurance is health insurance you get through your employer or purchase yourself. See tables for HMOs that offer services to commercial enrollees.

Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal is a government program that pays for health care services for low-income individuals. See tables for HMOs that offer services to Medi-Cal enrollees.

Healthy Families

Healthy Families is a government program that pays for health care services for children whose family income is not low enough to be eligible for Medi-Cal. See tables for HMOs that offer services to Healthy Families enrollees.

Medicare

Medicare is a federal insurance program that serves people over 65 as well as disabled adults. See tables for HMOs that offer services to Medicare enrollees.

Important Note

The services described in this Report Card may not be available at all times to all members. Sometimes, HMOs rely on their doctors or medical groups to provide these services.
