The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) publishes the “Medi-Cal Managed Care Consumer Guide” to help you choose the best Med-Cal HMO for you and your family. There is a guide for each county in California that has a Medi-Cal HMO. The guide tells you how the Medi-Cal HMOs in your county compare on quality of care for both adults and children.
